Sixth International Symposium on the Acquisition of Second Language Speech

Following the unanimous decision taken by the participants of the New Sounds 2007 conference held in Florianópolis, Brazil, we intend to continue the tradition of the symposiums on the acquisition of foreign language speech, organized originally by Allan James and Jonathan Leather, at regular 3-year intervals.

We are happy to announce that the Sixth International Symposium on the Acquisition of Second Language Speech New Sounds 2010 will take place on 1-3 May 2010 in Poznań, Poland. The Symposium will be organised by the School of English, Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań.

Calls for papers and submission guidelines will appear on the New Sounds website in due time. The submissions will be reviewed by an International Advisory Board.
