Guidelines for Proceedings papers

Please use the resources below to prepare your paper for the Proceedings. They will be published electronically; therefore, we ask you to submit your paper as a PDF file. It needs to comply with the requirements set out in the templates below.

Templates

The templates are ready to use for manuscript preparation. Most formatting and styling requirements can be met by using the paragraph styles supplied within the templates. The templates also describe the requirements in detail, and contain a stylesheet for references. If you cannot use the OpenOffice or MS Word templates, please refer to the PDF version, which contains exactly the same text, for a detailed description of the formatting requirements.

Fonts

The only recommended IPA font is Doulos SIL, available from the link below. If you need to use characters unavailable in Doulos SIL, which is highly unlikely, we strongly recommend using Unicode fonts. In principle, using PDF protects against font problems if the fonts are embedded in the file. However, in exceptional circumstances, we may ask you for the original, editable file of your paper. In such a case, make sure that you will be able to make your font available to us; there may be e.g. copyright restrictions.
