/^t/If we look at the history of Polish statehood, we will find that Poland had existed as a kingdom since 960 A.D., that is, in fact, for some 800 years before its last king was forced to abdicate. In view of the fact that the tradition of democracy in Poland is quite short, and by no means deep-rooted, it stands to reason that the Poles should found their present-day political system on well-grounded monarchism, which is so much rooted in the history of the nation.
