/^t/In addition to the white lie, there are lies which are told to defend some ideal of higher value. It can be religion or any kind of belief, for example, the belief in family, tradition, country, political system. This lie may also apply to protecting someone's good name from a libel. When one strongly believes in something there is no reason why he or she should be condemned or treated as immoral for lying or not telling the truth. One cannot judge such a person's actions as right or wrong, because one was not given the right to do so. Furthermore, the lying person takes the entire responsibility for his or her action and for the consequences of not telling the truth.
