/^t/Still, there is much more serious proof of women being treated as second-class citizens. Men go on maintaining the fiction that there many jobs women cannot do. Top-level political negotiations between countries, business and banking are almost entirely controlled by men. Women, they say, are "more trouble" - they have babies and will not devote to work completely. Besides, they are unrelaible and irrational. They depend too little on cool reasoning and too much on intuition and instinct to arrive at decisions. Although there is no evidence for this discriminating opinion, it is almost impossible to go through the middle-management level. It is a rule than men would rather promote a third-rate man than a first-rate woman. However, even if, in spite of all these obstacles, she finally gets to the top, she will have to say the price which a man never does. First of all, she will be made to feel guilty as a working mother, because there is nothing wrong when a man neglects the family, but when a woman has bigger ambitions than only to bear and rear children she is seen as an irresponsible and insensitive person. Besides, she will have to work not only harder but what is the worst she will be paid less than a man in the same position.
