/^t/Towards the end of the twentieth century we can observe a departure from traditional values, patterns of behaviour and ways of expression. It is worth asking ourselves a question about art: does it continue any tradition of the past? Are the old modes of representation still relevant? One such mode is painting. I shall argue that in modern art there is no place for painting and that this means of expression is dying out.
