/^t/In most ancient cultures the sun was the most important deity, the moon being the second in importance. The sun was associated with life and good spirits; while the moon was asigned to evil spirits and demons. They always stood in opposition representing the two extreme powers of light and darkness. They also represented the two opposite sexes: the sun was associated with male and the moon with female features. Yet, the influence of both the sun and the moon were equally appreciated. Today the impact of the moon seems less obvious than that of the sun. Still, the above examples may make us realise how much we are influenced by the moon.
