Language and medicine: Distant disciplines?

An increasing demand for interdisciplinary research has encouraged the organizers of the PLM 2006 to include a session on language and medicine, as one of the sessions within the general theme of the 2006 edition of the conference: Reaching far: Distant countries, distant disciplines.

The keynote talks will be given by:

Papers are invited which represent joint endeavours of linguistic and medical sciences in solving issues relevant to both disciplines.

Presentations will be allotted 20 minutes plus 10 minutes for discussion.

Abstracts of 500 words maximum should be prepared in accordance with the general submission guidelines, and submitted by e-mail to Monika Połczyńska-Fiszer at: plmonikifa.amu.edu.pl.

Deadline for abstract submission is 15 January, 2006. Notification of acceptance: 2 February 2006.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the PLM International Advisory Board.
