National stereotypes, national identities in language and text

This session is intended to bring together scholars working within distant and not so distant disciplines, including discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis, sociolinguistics, narratology, ethnolinguistics as well as from the newly emerging blends of these disciplines such as cognitive critical discourse analysis, socio-cognitive linguistics, cognitive poetics, the linguistic image of the world paradigm and others.

The range of topics that we would like to investigate focuses around, but is not limited to:

We hope to encourage contributions showing how language culture and society intertwine in creating and representing our belief systems.

Each paper will be given 30 minutes, including 5-10 minutes for discussion.

Abstracts should be prepared in accordance with the general submission guidelines, and submitted by e-mail to Małgorzata Fabiszak at: fagosiaifa.amu.edu.pl. All submissions will be reviewed by our International Advisory Board. Participants are kindly requested to register at the registration page.
