Review procedure
Once the Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Team are satisfied that a submission falls within the scope of PSiCL, and that it complies with our submission guidelines, a double-blind peer review process is initiated. (If the Editor-in-Chief concludes otherwise, the submission will be desk-rejected and will not enter the reviewing process below.)
Each submission is subject to review by at least two independent reviewers using the Editorial Manager system. The review proceudre should take no longer than three months.
Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will decide that:
- the article shall be accepted as is;
- the articule shall be accepted pending minor revision, as recommended by the reviewers;
- the article requires major revision, as recommended by the reviewers; in this case, the author(s) must make the recommended revisions, or explain, in the text of the article or a separate letter to the Editorial office, why they do not accept the revisions; the final decision as to whether the revisions made are acceptable rests with the Editor-in-Chief;
- the article is rejected.
The author(s) will be provided with the content of the reviews, and will be notified of the final decision, using the Editorial Manager system.
